A Redmond home was burned Tuesday afternoon after a fire broke out, sending thick black smoke into the air and spreading to two neighboring properties.
Redmond Fire & Rescue crews were called to the 2800 block of SW 37th Court at about 3:40 p.m., according to the agency. Law enforcement officers arrived first and reported the house was fully engulfed.
Flames spread quickly to the backyard of a neighboring home to the east and to a shed on the south side, officials said. To stop the fire from moving farther and threatening other houses, firefighters used a large master stream from the first arriving engine, capable of delivering up to 1,250 gallons of water per minute.
Everyone inside the home escaped, along with pets, and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
